Just some thoughts on this last morning of 2006. It seems that peace (Now, what does that mean?) is not in the vocabulary of the Bush white house. When was the last time you heard that we are working towards peace in the world? WAR is the operative word. -- WOW! Have the American people been propagandized this whole century. The terrorists are coming the terrorists are coming. Code orange. Code red. Yikes. I'd better be prepared. Seems to me I should be prepared to using less water before it runs out. (I live in a desert) -- The word "du jour" is "Surge". Who thought that one up. I always thought surge was used in describing the tide. As in "tidal surge" -- "We're not losing, we're not winning" What the hell are we doing????-- Man, has my government gone far away from being "my" government.-- Government by the people and for the people. HA! Money talks and bullshit walks. Seems that we are emulating some South American countries with our Rich and Poor populations. I was reading a magazine this past August dealing with yachts. The cost of them suckers. Wow!. Too bad many seniors cannot pay for their medications without skipping a meal or two.--

I guess its time to look ahead. What now? What do we tell our legislators to do? Do we tell them anything? We'd better.

Slipping and sliding our way to a "Police State". We may not realize it now, but this country is well on its way to being a fully controlled entity. All in the name of security. The TSA represents another invasion of our privacy. I don't think we have any privacy. Have you ever tried to get a car loan or a bank loan. Within seconds the loan officer has your credit report and ratings. The government does the same with ALL aspects of our life.

Do you want to be a "lamb" led to slaughter????

Would that ALL peoples could read and understand that James Carroll's comments apply to them. War doesn't solve anything. Why, we the people, seem to believe that war will solve our problems is beyond my understanding. -- When I was a child in elementary school, I got into a few fights. I soon realized that these were no fun and did not lead to anything. Besides I was not a fan of pain. Seems lots of folks never have learned that lesson. America needs to go back to the sixties with its "peace brother".
