I guess its time in this new holliday season for a rant. We all are beseiged with ads for tons of goods which are not needed. Needs are created and new products are introduced to fill those needs. At a price, of course.
The preceeding was a preamble. Now to the good stuff.
HEALTH CARE or more aptly put, the lack thereof. Just heard the other day that a family was booted out of Cigna. That might be a good thing since I'm not a fan of that money machine. Managed care is only care managed for the maximum profit for the company. The patient be damned. Until we abolish ALL insurance and health care companies, we will not have good health care in this country. The first question asked at the doctor's office or the hospital is, LET ME SEE YOUR INSURANCE CARD!!!!. And not. What is your problem and how can we help you. Seems to me that we have our priorities mixed up. The number of uninsured people in America keeps rising and our do nothing "government" doesn't give a lick about those people. Seems that law makers only cater to the health "industry". Since when is caring for the sick an industry? Congress and the White House have theirs and the hell with ordinary folks. And, oh yeah. We, that is our government, can spend billions if not trillions KILLING people but not taking care of its own people. We are becoming a nation of the haves and the have-nots.
What to do? Some would say donate to the candidate of your choice. But, when you can't afford to pay the rent or the doctor's bill, donation is not an option. I'd hate to advocate revolution since that would be suicidal in this country which is rapidly becoming a police state. The rich and government officials have us just where they want us. Under their thumb.
Let me know what you think and what to do.
